Easter ReadingOn the occasion of the current exhibition on the circle of artists in Carona, there will be a reading of the love tale Piktor's Metamorphosis, which Hermann Hesse dedicated to his second wife, Ruth Wenger from Carona. The readers will also read an excerpt from the chapter: «One day in Careno», from Klingsor's last summer (1920).With Rudolf Cornelius (German) and Antonio Ballerio (Italian).
Reading and MusicCarona, with its genuine and austere beauty, as well as its unique location above the lake of Lugano, was, perhaps, Hesse's second favourite village in Ticino. The guests of the last of these events are Hellen Geerling-Hesse, grandchild of Hermann Hesse and eldest daughter of Heiner Hesse, and her younger brother, David Hesse. The two grandchildren, who live in Munich and Frankfurt am Main, will talk with Regina Bucher about their relationship with their grandfather and will be at the audience's disposal for any questions.In German.
