Book presentation with Marion Tauschwitz.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birthday of the lyric poet Hilde Domin, (1909–2006), Marion Tauschwitz presents her biography (Palmyra Verlag, Heidelberg). Hilde Domin was a friend of Ninon Hesse and visited the Hesses in Montagnola. Besides poems, short stories and a novel, she also wrote essays and worked as a translator and researcher. In German.

The town of Calw presents itself on the occasion of the town twinning with Collina d'Oro.

Gardening was for Hermann Hesse a fundamental part of his Weltanschauung, meditation and a relaxing antithesis to his work as a writer.

On the occasion of the signature of the twinning agreement between the two municipalities, Collina d'Oro presents itself with this event in Calw, Hesse's birth place. Music, original texts and commentaries will describe the years Hesse spent in Montagnola.

Elisabeth Gerdts-Rupp, one of the women whom the exhibition is dedicated to, was the only one who had a close relation with Hermann Hesse.

Lecture by the philosopher Nicola Emery.
The philosopher Max Horkheimer and the econo­mist Pollock were co-founders of the Frankfurt School, where, together with Adorno, they develo­ped one of the most influential way of thinking of the 20. Century. Horkheimer and Pollock spent the last years of their life in Montagnola.
Their reflections and considerations cover the analysis of cultural phenomenon, such as the Beatles music, as well as the automatization and the identity crisis of history.

Letters, photographs, articles and books tell the story of a friendship, which began in 1903 and lasted until Thomas Mann's death, in 1955.

Heiner Hesse, second son of Hermann Hesse, was for more than forty years the administrator of the literary estate of his famous father and collaborated in the editing of several of his works. Thanks to him many exhibitions of Hesse's watercolours were organi­zed all around the world. Moreover he was the founder of the Museum in Montagnola.
To comme­mo­­rate this great person there will be
