A weekend with Hermann Hesse
On the footsteps of Klein und Wagner
Hotel Continental Lugano
Museum Hermann Hesse Montagnola
Klein and Wagner is a strong autobiographical novella which Hermann Hesse wrote in the Spring of 1919, just after he had moved to Ticino. Soon after his arrival, Hermann Hesse rented a room at the Hotel Continental, which he described in the story, and made friend with the family that still runs the hotel nowadays. The three-day programme, besides revealing an unknown page from Hesse's life, offers some cultural moments (such as a display of photographs by Giosanna Crivelli inspired by Hermann Hesse) and spoils the guests with culinary delights, all surrounded by a historical background.

Another weekend will take place from 21–23 October.
